Is Carranger a parody of Super Sentai?

Very much so. Carranger was deliberately crafted as a comedic parody of the Super Sentai franchise at a time when the series' ratings were flagging. What makes Carranger different from other Super Sentai series?

Unlike most entries in the franchise, Carranger leans fully into absurdist comedy. This playful self-awareness gives it a unique charm that fans still celebrate decades later.
