MyMusic - Plot
MyMusic was the primary series that aired on the MyMusicShow YouTube channel. It documented the antics of MyMusic, a transmedia production company where, rather than referring to each other by name, the staff go by the varying music genres with which they associate. CEO and founder Indie heads the team, which consists of people following extremely different–and frequently conflicting–tastes and attitudes. The company claims to have been given the YouTube original channel, which brings along with it a documentary crew filming them day to day. The second season picks up following the burning of the MyMusic building at the conclusion of the first season. After this fire, Indie has the MyMusic team returning to its roots, as well as focus more on social media and the MyMusic blog.

MyMusic - FAQs
What is the concept behind MyMusic?
MyMusic is a mockumentary comedy set inside a fictional transmedia production company where no one uses their real names — instead, each employee goes by a music genre. From Indie the CEO to Hip Hop, Metal, and Techno, the show mines comedy from wildly clashing musical personalities forced to work together.
Who created MyMusic and where did it air?
MyMusic was created by Benny Fine and Rafi Fine — the duo behind Fine Brothers Entertainment — and aired exclusively on YouTube as part of the platform's early original channel initiative. It ran for two seasons between 2012 and 2014, totalling 58 episodes across the MyMusicShow channel.
Was MyMusic one of YouTube's original funded series?
Yes — MyMusic was part of YouTube's ambitious 2012 original channels programme, in which the platform invested in premium content from established creators. The Fine Brothers were among the first wave of YouTube-native producers to receive this kind of institutional backing, making MyMusic a notable milestone in early streaming history.
Where can you watch MyMusic today?
MyMusic originally aired on the MyMusicShow YouTube channel, where episodes may still be accessible. For a full overview of current streaming and viewing options across different regions, JustWatch is a reliable resource to check availability on any platform near you.
Who are the main cast members of MyMusic?
The ensemble cast includes Adam Busch as Indie, Grace Helbig as Idol, Jarrett Sleeper as Metal, Lainey Lipson as Scene, Jack Douglass as Intern 2/Flowchart, Tania Gunadi as Techno, Mychal Thompson as Hip Hop, Chris Clowers as Dubstep, Lee Newton as Country, and Lia Marie Johnson as Rayna.
What happens in MyMusic Season 2?
Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of a dramatic fire that destroyed the MyMusic building at the end of Season 1. With their office gone, Indie rallies the team back to basics while shifting focus toward social media and the company blog — a fresh start that brings new comedic friction to the group dynamic.
Is MyMusic similar to The Office?
Very much so. MyMusic shares The Office's mockumentary format — a documentary crew follows the staff through their daily workplace chaos — but swaps corporate drudgery for music industry absurdity. Fans of workplace comedies like 30 Rock, W1A, or Documentary Now! will find plenty to enjoy in its quirky, genre-driven humour.
How many seasons and episodes does MyMusic have?
MyMusic ran for two seasons: Season 1 contained 34 episodes and Season 2 followed with 24, bringing the total to 58 episodes. Given the show's short-form YouTube format — with episodes averaging around 8 minutes — the full series is surprisingly easy to binge in just a few sittings.
