Gun Packer - FAQs
What is Gun Packer about?
Gun Packer follows Jack, an undercover agent sent to crack a series of stagecoach robberies where stolen gold keeps vanishing without a trace. He befriends an elderly ex-con called the Professor to infiltrate the gang, but his cover is eventually blown, leading to a tense showdown in a deserted mine.
Is there a twist in how the gold disappears?
That mystery sits at the heart of the film. The stolen gold bullion vanishes after each robbery, and figuring out the Professor's role in hiding it is what drives Jack deeper into danger. The scheme is cleverly constructed for a lean 51-minute B-Western.
Where can you stream Gun Packer?
You can watch Gun Packer on Tubi TV for free with ads, or catch it on Fawesome at no cost. If you prefer to own or rent it, Amazon Video has you covered. It's a great pick for classic Western fans looking for a quick, entertaining watch.
Who are the main cast members in Gun Packer?
Jack Randall leads the cast as the undercover agent Jack Denton, with Louise Stanley as Ruth Adams and Charles King as the villain Chance Moore. Barlowe Borland brings real charm to the Professor Angel role, while Dave O'Brien, Glenn Strange, and Lloyd Ingraham round out the supporting cast.
How does Jack Randall's character go undercover?
Jack convinces the Professor — an elderly ex-convict — that they have a shared criminal past, earning enough trust to be introduced to the gang. It's a classic confidence play, and watching Jack balance his fake outlaw persona against the risk of exposure gives the film its central tension.
Who directed Gun Packer and what is the background?
Wallace Fox directed Gun Packer for Monogram Pictures, one of the most prolific studios behind low-budget B-Westerns of the 1930s and 1940s. Fox was a reliable hand at this kind of fast-paced, action-driven fare, and the film was written by Robert Emmett Tansey, another Monogram regular.
What are some similar films to Gun Packer?

How long is Gun Packer and is it worth watching?
At just 51 minutes, Gun Packer is a brisk, no-fuss B-Western that doesn't overstay its welcome. It's a solid example of the Monogram assembly-line style — efficient storytelling, a likable hero, and enough action to satisfy fans of the era. Perfect for a quick dive into 1930s Western cinema.
