Who is Scott Walker?
Noel Scott Engel (January 9, 1943 – March 22, 2019), better known by his stage name Scott Walker, was an American-British singer-songwriter, record producer and composer. He initially found fame as part of the 60s teen pop trio The Walker Brothers, before embarking on a solo career in 1968. Walker then became known for his unorthodox stylistic path, using his famous baritone voice to create increasingly harsh, avant-garde albums. Towards the end of his life, he composed the scores for two Brady Corbet films, Childhood of the Leader (2015) and Vox Lux (2018). Corbet's 2024 film The Brutalist was dedicated to his memory.
